i know this sounds stupid but if i wanted to make an engagment more special. we are getting married next year, i think i did it to plain when i did how could i make it so it would be unique or what could i do to show my love is still pure and true to him. weve been dating for 5 years on dec 5th. we have a son and one on the way. i know i know alot of people say kids after marriage. long story short both times we planned a date i ended up getting pregnant. thi stime im still keeping the date. but i love my fiance more than anything in the world i feel like i just did the engagment to plain how would you do it...if you could do i so spontaneously...thanks for all comments

Well my fiance asked me on our couch. which was kindof plain but, he deffinately made it up. One day out of the blue he came to my house when he knew i was home. He told me that I needed to come with him right away cuz one of my friends called him and told me that she couldn't get ahold of me, and that she really needed me. So i went rushing out the door. I found this extremely odd because he was dressed in a tux and we ended up driving to this beautiful restaraunt. As i opened the door i saw a beautiful Big poster sized picture of him and I huging in the room ahead and underneath was a rose with a letter tied with an orange ribbon *fav color* As i went into the room All of my friends his friends, and our families jumped out and said SUPRISE! i was really confused at this point untill I turned around and saw him on his nee with the most BEAUTIFUL ring ever. I said yes. And the letter was a BEAUTIFUL letter telling me how much he loved me.

I've been married 24 years and my engagement was sort of plain - but it was the surprise and joy of it at the time that was special - not the fact that it was fancy at all - and redoing it would not recapture that moment.
Honestly, focus on your upcoming wedding and upcoming addition to your family. You already have a lot going on that's special. You can't recapture the excitement and happiness of the moment of getting engaged and I wouldn't myself try.

What are you talking about girl? This is your second pregnancy!! You should have been married a long time ago! If you are even engaged, you should be happy. You should focus on getting married. Be happy you found someone to marry you with two kids!

Does your fiance read he paper? If so, maybe a "personal" ad that says I love you, I am so glad I am going to be your wife!
Get a gift (i.e. an engraved watch) and give it to him in the middle of the mall.
