Sarasota -
Al Qaeda did not exist in Iraq before we showed up. OBL is in Pakistan, not Iraq.
You speak of Al Qaeda and the Baathists as if they were the same group. Al Qaeda HATES the Baathists, and vice versa. The only thing we've made in Iraq is a big mess. It will disintegrate into Civil War the minute we leave, whether it's tomorrow or in 10 years. We are not winning.

Because it's a WAR against TERRORists. What part of that don't you understand?
It's true that we didn't launch the war in Iraq as a result of its involvement with Al Qaeda or 9/11. But Al Qaeda is not the only terrorist group in the world, and 9/11 was not the only terrorist attack that even happened or ever will happened. The War on Terror is bigger than just Al Qaeda.
Before the war in Iraq, Saddam Hussein was funding terrorist suicide bombings in Israel. So right there you have a direct link to terrorism in general. Plus those suicide bombings were provoking retaliation from Israel, and Al Qaeda used that retaliation to justify its attacks. So there's an indirect link to Al Qaeda in particular. Plus, now that we're in Iraq, Al Qaeda is there too, so that's reason to continue the war, since we want to fight them wherever they are.

Osama bin Laden has just released a message to al Qaeda-Iraq fighters and others pleading for support, despite "mistakes" made in the war for the hearts and minds of Iraqis. That pretty much seals the deal concerning OBL's involvement in Iraq.
In other communiques Osama bin Laden has declared Iraq as the "central front of the Jihad" and calling for "martyrs" to join the struggle there.
You doubt that, don't you?
Believe this... the best outcome in Iraq for the U.S., is victory for the Coalition forces against al Qaeda and the vestigial Baathists. We ARE winning now, do you advocate quitting while we are ahead? Shall we ABANDON the Iraqi people NOW, after we have promised them so much?
Have you ever read Franklin Roosevelt's " Four Freedoms" speech? How about revisiting liberalism's ROOTS??.

Because after Sadam was taken out the insurgents came in and started their stuff. The insurgents are with Al Quiada. so if we do not stop them there it will become their safe haven. We got into the war in the first place with the wrong information, supposedly there were WMD's and there weren't or they moved them. Perhaps there was some of Bush wanted to finish the job his dad started when he was in office. It is not all black and white as usual.

The consuption of flouride dulls the part of the brain that makes you question authority. Then being bombarded with images continously, in the brain-damaged state, allows an unquestionable trust in the bull-5hit fed to us.

The war in Iraq has nothing to do with terror Clinton got off on Monica and Bush gets off on what going on over in Iraq. The war has been over for awhile now it is not about terriost anymore it is about Bush trying to steal their stuff and our men and women of war are just is pawns to get what he wants.

Because if they didn't, they'd have to admit just how stupid the US has been for the last 5 years.
Its a case of being wrong and hoping that if you hold your fingers in your ears long enough, something ... anything ... will make you look smart.
So far it seems to be just making them look like they've got fingers in their ears.

Because most people in this country do not believe the line of crap the Liberal mainstream media throw at us. If they weren't so invested in the defeat of this great country, they would get behind this president-regardless of his political affiliation- and kick the crap out of the terrorists. This is a long war that will have many fronts. Afghanistan and Iraq is just the beginning. Do not be surprised when we're in Iran, Syria and even N. Korea.
