~You want money and no stress and not want to have to care about people? PA hands down. You want to be under- appreciated (if not hated) the brunt of bad jokes, broke and scratching to pay the bills but to actually make a difference and to live for the sense of accomplishment you get from your work? Then go for law. The rewards aren't worth the ulcers, but unlike the medicos, you'll be able to look in the mirror when you shave in the morning and not puke your guts out. Of course, that only applies if you choose a career in law as a public defender or some such gutter slime and don't become an ambulance chasing, money grubbing a-h like those morons who advertise on TV.

So, what's the difference between an attorney and a sperm? The sperm has one chance in a million to become a human being. What do you call a doctor in a new Mercedes? Underpaid. See what I mean.

The reality of being an attorney sucks, on tv it is glamorous. We need more attorneys like we need herpes, and it is reflected in a lack of opportunities and low pay for a lot of lawyers.
Go into a field in demand, where you will get compensated for your work and schooling. Physcian assistant, dentist, pharmacist, doctor, physical therapist, healthcare is the place to be.
I personally could not stand most of the people I went to law school with, they were annoying, boring, immature, and egocentric. I did not realize there were that many horrible personalties in such high concentration.

Attorney. People don't give you as much s*** on things in life and give you more respect as an attorney then as an assistant anything. You can be your own boss, I've run my own practice for 15 years with no boss ever. You can set your own schedule if you don't work for a firm and you don't get ripped off so much in life because you know the law. Law school was the most miserable 3 years of my life, but looking back on it I grew and learned so much through the torture it was worth it. Besides, every doctor I've known personally has been cheap and doesn't party. Lawyers know how to throw great parties.
Go Red Sox!!!

~If you are looking for stability, a good income, regular hours, no overhead expenses, great benefits and respect from the people you deal with, definitely become a physician's assistant. It doesn't take nearly the amount of education or money that it takes to become a lawyer.

Besides, as a physician's assistant, you'll only have a doctor ranting and raving at you once in a while. If you become a lawyer, you'll have to listen to the judges, the DA's, your staff, the bill collectors and, most of all, your clients ranting, raving, whining, bytching, nagging at you all the time.
