It's fine. My mother's name is Margo; she was named after her mother, Margaret. Because of that, I'm biased towards the name. I wanted to use the name Margaret, and call her Marlo, but it's too close to my mother's name to actually use.
Margot isn't a bad name, but I prefer it as a nickname for something. How about Margarid or Marguerite if you don't like Margaret?

I love it! It's on my list for future children. I prefer it just spelled Margo but its ok this way as well. It's very pretty and uncommon without being made up! Great choice in my opinion.

I like it. It has a bit of old Hollywood glamour too it and has a lovely sound to boot. I also like it spelled Margaux but dislike Margo.
