Along the lines of this: What do you think about Jim Hughson doing the first game of Hockey Night In Canada? In regards to last night's telecast, was that the first time ever that HNIC did the road games for the Canadian teams?

Jim Hughson has worked for Hockey Night in Canada since the mid-80s by the way.

Road games for Canadian teams in American cities has been a staple of HNIC for a long time. They did their 50th Saturday night US telecast last year on February 24th when Montreal visited Long Island

I'd love Hewson to replace Cole. I can't stand him anymore. HNIC has come a long way. Used to be when the Leafs were on the road we'd get the Habs game if they were at home. I can't remember the last time they did a Leaf road game on a Saturday when they weren't in another Canadian city.
BTW: Is it a coincidence that the Leafs best two games of the year were also games they didn't have McCabe?

I have no clue, because I don't get to see HNIC (I guess I could if I went on CBC's website more...) but I say CHEERS to you for asking intelligent hockey-related questions. Keep up the good work, my man.
