ive had my saltwater tank set up for 2 months or so now. the water seems foggy and not 100% clear. it looks like i can see little tiny bits of sand or whatever floating around the water(and on top). how do i get my water to be completely clear as in fish stores?

I don't know if you have a skimmer or liverock or livesand or anything, but you should definately get these things or it won't clear up most likely
Your tank could also have a bacteria bloom which is good, as it shows it's in the cycling process

Hope that helps
Good luck

Mine was cloudy for about a week until i added the live rock. I added 6 pounds of live rock and 10 pounds of live sand in a 12 gallon tank and it cleared up that same day.

I think your aquarium salt is caking up and is getting foggy. How bout try aquarium clarifiers, I think that should do it and take out the tiny bits of salt. Anyway its not sand that is floating.
