I used to be a size 5-6 and people asked me if i was anrexic. I was one of the slimmest girls in my grade that ate alot. I think the obsessive with being that small is wierd. I do not think it is hot. I know people say and you think they are just saying that to make bigger people feel better. I mean I seriously don't. A size 2 is like Kate Moss, and she is nasty skinny. What do you think?

Considering a size 6 can be anywhere from a 26-28 inch waist and a size 2 can be anywhere from a 24-26 inch waist, you could technically wear both a size 2 and 6 depending on the store. Clothes sizes are just arbitary numbers, don't get caught up in it all. Sizes keep getting smaller, but the measurements are still the same.

I'm almost 5' 10" so for me to be a size 2, I would literally have to be skeletal. It took until I was into my 30's to figure out that I am much happier being a little heavier (but still healthy) and able to eat an ice cream cone or cheeseburger once in a while, than I was being skinny counting every fat gram. My husband thinks I'm sexy and thinks really skinny women are repulsive. Younger women want to be a size 2. Wise older women learn to be happy the way they are.

I don't understand it, I'm a size 0 and I would do ANYTHING to be able to be a size 5-6. People always ask me if I eat and it's horrible because I do. I probably eat more than anyone else i know and I STILL cannot gain weight. Seriously, if I was a size 5-6 I would be soo happy. I don't see why anyone would want to be a size 0 or a size 2.

Nowadays we blame it on the media (tv, films, print ads) but what about back in the old days when women used to squeeze themselves into corsets? Watch "Gone With the Wind" -- Scarlet (Vivien Leigh) reportedly had a 19" waist or something like that. I guess there came a time in history when super thin women came to be seen as the more attractive. During the Renaissance, the opposite was true. Just look at the paintings from back then of curvy, "fat" women who were deemed the most beautiful. I guess perceptions of "beauty" change with the times.

I am a size two, but that;s because of my genetics. I LOVE food. I cannot actually be anoerxic because I just love my food too much.
I think the main influence on women today is probably the media and its negative images portraying women. Plus some stores don't even have clothing in plus sizes.

I wear a 3 in pants. But I am not anorexic skinny. Just naturally skinny I guess. I eat a lot to be honest. But yeah I have been called anorexic and it makes me mad!
EDIT: Are we talking about dresses or pants? LOL! In a dress I wear a 2. But again, I eat all the time. I can't help it.

I think that alot of woman do obsess over their weight...just so people will accept them better. It is what is on the inside that counts.. I have had a life long battle with my weight. I have been overweight most my life and have struggled with things and heard alot of rude hurtful things...... either way the person is screwed because if your toooooo skinny people talk smack about you and if your to fat like me they still do.that is the problem with todays society.... I myself dont talk about other peoples weight........ because I know from experience it can hurt...people dont stop to think that maybe my weight problem has to do with health problems(yes weight gain can be caused by health issues like your tyroid not working properly people dont think about that )...... depression can cause weight gain or loss too... theres alot to put into consideration...beauty is in the eyes of the beholder and I think I have just as much to offer as any size 2,4,6,8 or smaller than me.... God loves us all regardless of our weight.....

I felt better when I was a size 6, but I was younger & more active.... When I was a size 4 (I'm 5'10"), people thought I was anorexic.....
Now that I'm older, I'm not a 6 anymore, but I have more curves..... I am getting in good shape again though, with exercise

insecurity, the media...personally i like curvy ladies...i used to be like a stick, really thin and i used to tell people how i wished i had a bit more meat on my body...as i reach my 20s, my body changed and i am a lot curvier.
I love my body now although i gained a bit of weight. Curves are sexy, but the important thing is you must love yourself more, what ppl think don't matter!
