And others find it repulsive? It seems like there is no middle ground whatsoever. Some people are like, all natural... shaving is offensive.. hairy is the way we were meant to be and its sexy.. blah blah blah... and others are all like, hairy women are gross, shave it off if you want a date, etc. So... what caused this total clash of ideas? How do I decide what's right for me? Is shaving really *wrong*?

No one ever wanted me to believe that shaving is wrong. But when people say that, it does make me wonder where they're getting it from. Can we really say "if it feels right, go for it"?

Cuz everybody has different tastes and everybody's perspective of beauty is different. If everyone views everything in the same way, that'd be bad!
Now if you're talking bout body hair on a guy, a guy whom is completely hairless can be gross... I mean, I have a guy friend who is completely hairless on his legs and thats nasty! Why should I have more hair on my leg than him? To me, thats a turn off. However, TOO much body hair is a turnoff to me too cuz it gets itchy against my skin =P
For a woman, I think most men prefer shaved but who knows. If a man likes you for the way you are, it wouldn't matter if you shaved or not.
You decide whats right for you based on what makes you feel most comfortable. If you dont' like to shave, then don't. If you do, go for it! Shaving isn't wrong. Stop thinking the way people want you to think. You can make your own decisions.

it is just an opinion really. I am somewhere in the middle. I can't see the point in say a Brazilian wax, but keeping stuff neat and tidy is OK. I don't wax my arms, i just leave them.
I have never had a man have a problem with whatever I am doing. So I think it is OK.
As to why the clash of ideas..the porn industry is unfortunately partly blame. They have created this fantasy for men of what a desirable women should look like. Which in some of our eyes, is really what a prepubescent child looks like. Which, I personally feel is so completely the opposite of sexy.

Well, there is a belief that bodily hair is beautiful because it's natural. I personally think that it is a MEGA turn off and it's really gross. And that waxing totally trumps shaving, but if you don't have the time, shaving works too.

Hmmm now are we talking about what all men - boys want are what real men want. Yes, pleasing outer shell is really great, but real men want to be able communicate with their love, they also want to have intelligent conversations also. To me an even balance is great. Did you know a lot of guys cook, but they do not want to cook all the time. Having great sensuality is also a plus and a little humility also. My second gf was a great looker large tomatoes etc....my friends always told me she had more T's than brains...you know they were right I was blinded by lust.:)

I think it is a cultural thing. I've heard that in certain areas of Europe, going without shaving is no big deal. It may be the norm. To each his [or her] own, I guess.

Seeing as you're a girl, you're best of shaving. I can see this as a problem among guys, but for girls, it's obvious that shaving is the only way to be socially accepted.

no, there's nothing wrong with shaving. It's all a matter of personal taste I guess. If you like it leave it...if you don't get rid of it.

I have never met a man who likes body hair on a woman. Of course, it's the woman's choice to decide what she does to her body.

it's just an opinion. neither is right or wrong. the person should want to date YOU regardless of how much hair you have.
