It's possible, although some of them just pitch the applications that didn't come from other top-notch schools in that subject. I know, I have a friend on the Harvard grad admissions committee. My advice - Ivy leagues aren't all they are cracked up to be, especially when it comes to grad programs. Look around a bit and find one that suits you. And don't be too disappointed if Harvard turns you down. They turned me down, too. And a lot of other people who now have PhDs and good jobs.

It's very possible. If you had good grades throughout undergrad and show a lot of interest in your subject area, going to a small school should not hurt you. However, if this school is not an accredited college or is known for an easy grading scale, you may have trouble convincing an Ivy League grad program that you're serious about your studies.
