the gourami is lonely but once I tried him with angels and he made them nervous

If it is temporary, sure. Gold Gouramis are not terribly small and will reach about 4 inches. That may not seem too large, but when fish feel cramped, they can become quite aggressive with their tankmates. I would move the Gourami to a bigger tank when it reaches 3 inches, or it will terrorize your other fish. Also, try to get 2-3 more Tetras of the same species to add some security to their school. Yes I think that your gourami will get well with a small bottom feeder. He will also see the tetras as friends.

neon tetras no any tetra shoud be with at least 5

bottom feeder by this name i gues common pleco they need at least a 55 gallon

but the gourami would be fineby himself in the 10 gallon

Yeah I have a gourami with 2 danios, a comet (feeds fish) and a algae eater. It's fine.

Yes, unless they are tiger barbs which will nip his fins. Otherwise go ahead plus get him a mate?
