I would try to contact the sears parts and service at 1-800-252-1698. I quit buying sears tools and equipment after Sears closed their parts warehouse in Boise, ID, and went to that 1-800 number to get parts because it seemed like I got absolutely knowhere with them. So I started buying Ridgid tools and equipment. Plus since Sears and Kmart merged I have no use for Sears anymore, and they quit their lifetime warranty on their tools.

If you purchased your craftsman table saw from Sears, you may want to try and contact the Sears parts and service department. Price the motor. If it costs more than what it's worth, you may want to just purchase a new table saw.
You can do it online if you have the model number to your table saw.

I too have this problem. I have a companion table saw, Sears less expensive brand, but made by same people. You can't trust that when you lock it down that it's straight. I've found that the hook in the back doesn't stay put and have to go the front one. It keeping the measurement straight also depends on two things. 1) make sure the washers that hold the blade on are both pointing inward. You know how they're bowl shaped? Make sure they both cup inwards towards the blade, otherwise the blade isn't centered and it will float left-right when cutting. 2) It also depends on the blade you're using. A 200 tooth blade isn't as wide as a 70 tooth blade. I always measure from the edge of one of teeth and never use that ruler on the table.

In some areas there are Sears SurPlus Stores...tiny shops that sell odds and ends specifically for replacement of Sears Brands.
If all else fails, try:

Been there, done that.
Best buy is HarborFreight.com Copy the bolt pattern, shaft size, and RPM from the old motor and look for one that matches, or you can up the Horse Power if you want as long as everything else matches.
