We're all but threads
tangled in this web...
Each end connected
suspended in space.

Here where thoughts cling
Fastened by the answers.
Where questions asked
never find slumber.

I must do this at risk, never a poet....

Sometimes a hamper
for lack of suitable comfort elsewhere,
like a cat who nestles
on folded laundry for scent & softness.

Not always hooked in logic,
but claws curled into rich fabric of
magic, creative, surprising answers
from souls in tune with questions

Oh, good grief, my sister would laugh at my even trying! (She's the poet in the family.) But by gum, it says what I feel, even though it would never qualify as a "poem"!

I need homework help
For a big David Hume essay
But no one replied

My haiku, "Fruitless Effort," inspired by my frustrations regarding the lack of help I've gotten from my post! Oh well.

Here, over there
Whatever there may be
When being is ambition free
Not bound by gravity
Not interacting
Neither forward
Nor retracting

Do I hear you
Seeping through
To deeper thought?
Have you too long bought
Into the distant, burning house?

I can't improve Omar Khayam's - the quatrain in the "Rubaiyat" that went, as I remember ----

"Myself when young did eagerly frequent
Houses of great argument.
But ever came out as in I went"

These hallowed walls that once housed
childhood wonder and innocence
are now inhibited by
a wiser, but much sadder, soul.

(From a work in progress.)

I wrote this in 2 minutes, so don't laugh..
Share with me
What you know
plant within
A seed to grow.
Give me a glimpse
I'll peer within
feel who you are
where you have been.
I hold you close
As I roam
In truth I am
Always at home.
