Can I wear running tights under shorts (I'm a girl)?

Is it ok to wear running tights under a pair of shorts? My tights are black and I have a pair of blue nylon-ish shorts.. I also have a pair of black nylon-ish shorts, both pair are "short" not mid-thigh. thanks!

yeah go for it. i do it for track all the time.

nothing would be cooler :-) , but i think tights would be ok to
