Organic compounds are compounds with carbon. Carbon is the only requirement for the definition.

Organic compounds are compounds that usually come from organisms. They always have carbon plus a few other elements like hydrogen, oxygen, and nitrogen.
Examples: Alcohol, Sugar, Fat, Protein
