omg! I had to do 75 questions for homework in math and am down to 30, but need help with these. please don't just give me the answer, please show mw how you got the answer. thank you.
1)evaluate: 2+4(6-10 divided by 5) is it 24 or 18?
2)simplify: 2m+4m(6m -7) +9 is it negative 19 over26?3)4 over 5x +2 =14 is it 15?
4)i have no idea for this one! solve for y:6x-5y=-15
5) solve: -2 over 3w is greater than or equal to 6
6)solve the porportion: 3x over 5 = 9 over 2
7) solve: 4d+5 over 7 =7
8)what is the range for the solution set of the eqation 6x+3y=12 if the domain is (-3, 0, 2)
9)evaluate:x=(3) to the second power. is it 9?
10) solvefor y: -8x +2y=10 is it -1
11) simplify: -3x-5(x+2)+11
thank you all soooooo much!

1.2+4(6-10/5)
2+4(6-2)
6(4)
=24
2.i'd say to just leave it as 36m^2-42m+9 (distribute after combining like terms)
4. bring the 6x to the other side, then divide by -5y and you'll get y=3+6 over 5 x r 1 and 1 fifth x
5. sorry idk how that would be done.
6. cross multiply. 6x=45
7.divide everything by 7, then subtract 5, then divide by 28 to get d by itself
8. again sorry i don't know how to do that
9.yes it is.
10.add 8x to both sides one cancels out the other goes to the other side of the = sign, divide both sides by 2 and you get
y=5+4x
11. use foil (first, outer, inner, last)and you should get -3x^2+-6x-5x-10+11
then combine all like terms and
-3x^2-11x+1

OMG, if you can do 45 of 75 questions, the type questions cant be all that different that you cant apply what you did on one place to another.

To solve equations (you have several of these), put all terms on one side of the other OTHER than the variable you wish to solve for. Then divide by the coefficient of that variable. If you have 2 variables to start with (like 4 and 10), you will NOT get a number as an answer. For example, in 4:
-5y = -15 - 6x
Divide by -5 and reduce
y = 3 + (6/5) x
#8 SOLVE the equation for y when x is the three domain values. Then order the 3 values of y from smallest to largest.

ok...first of all, saying omg to 75 questions is really pathetic...second of all, that stuff is eazy, third of all, if you dont understand that stuff then try and when you fail your teacher will notice, thats the whole point of homework(plus, like sticking it in your brain), and if you know how, then take a break, and go back to it later...or if you have that class later in the day, then finish it up tomorrow before that class by doing it in other classes(LOL, THAT ONE GUYS ANSWER TO EVERTHING IS OFF HITCHIKERS GUIDE TO THE GALAXY ...THAT MOVIE IS FUNNY WHEN YOU WATCH IT BUT AFTERWARDS YOU FEEL GAY FOR WATCHING IT)

1)order of operations
pemdas: parentheses, exponents, mult, division, add., subtraction.

hope that helps!

11)simplify: -3x-5(x+2)+11
-3x-5x-10+11
-8x+1

there you go.

what math are you in?
