Well its very interesting because I have just come back tonight from a half term weeks holiday in Portugal - Praia da Rocha, which is 2 miles from Portimao.
I got off the plane in Faro expecting to see posters of madeleine plastered everywhere, billboards, TV updates, yellow bands, yellow and green ribbons, papers full of the McCanns and locals conversations regarding all this case.....
Well I could not have been more wrong... in the whole week in which we travelled around all the local areas I did not see a single Poster in a shop, airport, or on any lamp posts, no-one was wearing yellow bands and in the whole week
the only papers in which I saw any news was on an english paper in a supermarket.. a 5 minutes newsbullitin on skynews and the portugal news had a small column on page 64 midweek that was it!.....
I also saw no evidence or sign whatsoever either of the TV, billboards campaign or posters of this so called European campaign by the McCanns which was supposed to be widespread throughout portugal, spain etc...until december.....
SO MUCH FOR GERRY AND KATE SEARCHING FOR MADELEINE..
Portimao was completely dead and not a mention on the ongoing case or police activity....
Finally, I spoke at length to an English Tourist Rep who had been their since February 07 about the case, any developments and feelings in portugal.
She said she has a lot of portugese friends from Praia da lux and local areas and she and the portugese feel they are lying and actually the portugese dislike the Mccanns finding them deceitful and taking advantage of their good nature and unhelpful to the police. they would not be welcome back in portugal as feeling is bad towards them and her personal views were it all seemed very fishy indeed and something certainly did not add up... .. she said the portugese think there is too many unanswered questions and different stories and they are unhelpful to the portugese police and taking advantage of free food and the good nature of the portugese people and restaurants around them at the time.. apparently she said they ate and drank and lived for free in portugal the whole time they were there after madeleine went missing and took advantage of local restaurants good nature with no offers to pay their way.
Many portugese people in the local area were searching many days and nights very day for many weeks for their little girl and they could not understand why Gerry was playing tennis and Kate was jogging along the beach...
I have to say that considering this was supposed to be an ONGOING FIND MADELEINE CAMPAIGN BY THE MCCANN CAMP AND USING THE MADELEINE FUND, I FOUND NO EVIDENCE OF THIS WHATSOEVER IN PORTUGAL AT ALL and you would never know there was a missing child that was being seached for..
All very strange to me .... and some interesting points and feeling made to me by local portugese people and the english who work their.
I PERSONALLY GOT A COMPLETELY DIFFERENT PERSPECTIVE AND FEELING OF THIS CASE WHILST I IN PORTUGAL THAN WE GET IN ENGLAND and so therefore interesting to experience.
but I can certainly state that the So called Find Madeleine Campaign in Portugal is non-existent and all this HYPE from Gerry and Kate McCann and their camp about still searching and campaigning within Portugal is utter Rubbish because I never saw anything remotely close to this in Portugal and surrounding areas!

Since when was it a murder case? I'm not going to do anything about it, except give the McCanns the privacy that they need to grieve.
Oh and btw, I think you are pathetic.

So its 'murder' now is it? You know this for sure? 100% factual is it? Proof positive, and beyond any doubts? If this is the case, then i strongly suggest YOU report this 'knowledge' and all other information you have about a 'murder' to the relevant authorities--ME?...I'm gonna sit back and await results like other people are doing with regards this little girl's disappearance--THAT'S what I'M gonna do about it.

The McCann case is a very sensitive news item and people are entitled to their views.It shows that they care about the girl,it shows they are human.Their have been many theories put forward and this is good help for the Police and they feed off information.Just say what you feel people are listening.

Do you mean Maddie ?
There is NO proof she has been murdered - it is a DISAPPEARANCE until that eventuality.Get your facts right !
