The following is the answer I received when I asked why some women had the ugly habit of shaving off their natural body hair -

I happen to agree with you about it being a sexy feature - however, rather than 'admiring prostitutes' (not sure where you got that idea) it became ingrained in our culture because a market was created for female shaving products. Now there's even a market for 'bikini waxing.' I find it offensive because this 'dehairing' makes women resemble little girls - which I find sickening

And why, on packages of men's underwear and other such ads, are men almost always portrayed without chest hair?

Man? Are you trying to get women to keep their body hair then? The reason that they shave it off is because guys wouldn't be attracted to them if they didn't. There is no way I'm sleeping with a girl with armpit hair.

"ugly" habit? if you think women shaving is ugly then why not just completely abandon all of the pop culture rituals we've incorporated into our daily lives. stop showering, dont brush your teeth etc. that's "natural" too, neanderthals didnt have soap or brushes or hair gel or any of the things we have so why focus on just shaving?

I don't like shaving myself, but I do recognize that it helps keep me clean and nicer smelling...especially around certain times of the month and year (SUMMER!). Sorry, but I'll not completely give up shaving.
