the dude is singing about how his girl wants to apologize and take him back and hes saying that its too late to apologize. He had found somone else.

uhhh exactly what the song says "its too late to apologize"
she wants him and is tellen him all this stuff about needing him , she doesnt keep her word and he tired of that and he doesnt want her back ,
