Peas, corn, cabbage, sweet potato, onions etc.
Salt and pepper
Oil for frying
Basically second is saying a local or large lady had left overs to eat and desert.
Nobody talks like that its silly and very old fashioned

bubble and squeak = is a traditional English dish made with the shallow-fried leftover vegetables from a roast dinner. The chief ingredients are potato and cabbage, but carrots, peas, brussels sprouts, and other vegetables can be added. It is traditionally served with cold meat from the Sunday roast, and pickles\
aubergine = eggplant (a type of veggie well actually its a fruit)
and afters im assuming is desserts

Hell-ow I'm British.
Our colonial brothers requested the offices of electrician,for the repair of the elevator that had broken down in the apartment block.
In the refectory, the homely lass had bubble and squeak,aubergine and afters.
