Arguably, the world is not black and white. It's different shades of grey. Some darker, some lighter. No one can really dictate whats right and whats wrong, good or bad. . . ARGUABLY! I myself often wonder how not black and white the world is. I feel some use that as an excuse to suite to their agenda. I'm sure we all do that from time to time.

But my question is. Does anyone feel the world is more black and white then we think? Are the lines a little more solid then we wanna realize? Now I know once again, most are probably gonna NO. Which is fare. It probably isn't really that black and white. But sometimes, with the way things things look. I often wonder. When does grey area need to go away?

Thoughts?

Sometimes it is, sometimes it isn't.

Sometimes it is uneccesary to consider the greys. Example: pedophilia - good or bad? I'd say it's pretty black or white on that one. Hard to imagine the grey area. Or when you really need to make a quick decision, going for the black and white can be helpful. Jump from the window or become engulfed in flames? Probably not going to be too helpful to spend a lot of time getting into the nuances of that one. But in most situations, we're living in the grey zone. It makes life more complicated. It means you have to think a little more. But it means there's more than two choices with most situations. And that's usually a good thing.

I don't see the world as black and white, rather more like a giant rainbow.Doesn't that sound more positive than just black and white? There are so many variables in our lives how can we think there is a "one size fits all" solutions.I have two adult daughters and raising them because they were so different. When people asked me if I had a favourite I would tell them No, I love each according to their needs. The end result was you hope you have prepared your child for life, that they are secure in themselves to make good choices. How this goal was reached was by different methods. In a broader sense ,some people only see the negative in the world. They see moral decline, hate, declining social standards ,increasing crime etc. I see those thing too but I truly believe that there are more good people than bad.Good news doesn't sell newspapers though. How often do you read about the many people who volunteer their time ( for meals on wheels, reading to shut ins, acting as sports coaches, scout leaders, mentors, blood donors, school volunteers ,etc) and expect nothing in return. Their little unselfish acts, of sharing their talents with others, makes life better for us all, one person at a time.I dare to not only dare to dream of the good in people I like to think I am on the winning team. We all have the ability to make a difference.Sign up today, what do you have to lose?

I usually hear this question when somebody is challenging a principle or a rule. It's really another way of asking: do you stick to principles or not? Too many times these days, people have lofty values but cave on them when it comes time to walk the walk. We believe in free speech (unless you say something that offends me). We believe in the sanctity of life (unless you're a minority accused of murdering someone in the majority). We believe in liberty and democracy (unless you **** us off, and we have more bullets than you.) Is the world black and white? What is truth?

its black white and full of wide spectrum of colours.
Some things become black and white depending n the depth you view it from - did you have tea or coffee? other flavours? why you r preferences developed as the did and how much of that matters.

no I will resist the urge to go into it to stupid degrees of depth.
See a short one! hahaha
