I did a university degree, and a postgraduate certificate and I don't believe I got what I paid for. Is there anything I can do about it?
It's like spending a fortune on a leather lounge and finding out later it's vinyl.

I did quite well at it. I was invited to do post-grad work etc. so no problem there.
As for jobs, no problem there - in fact I probably got the best possible jobs you get from my degree.
Support was ok but here's an e.g.
Some courses I didn't even read the book because it was so basic. AND some courses had nothing but student presentations. I paid to be taught by specialists, not my fellow students. Students talk while the lecturer naps in the corner!

firstly - and in all seriousness - did you get any receipts for funds you paid for?
also - what were you paying for exactly - all universities (esp since fees etc) have a contract they are obligated to give out - this will be what you 'sign up for' at first year - mostly it's all about you do this and you get the degree, but it'll also contain what is offered to you - eg - you'll have certain amount of lectures etc.

Question back - are you upset with level of degree you got, level of teaching/suport you got and thus grade you got, or what degree is worht outside in job market?
if last one, university not to blame. if either of other two - yes, you have cause for complaint - there are websites - put into a search engine - university of XXX complaint procedures - if no luck there, try education and government websites - good luck

It's not like someone forced you to attend that school - you always had the option to leave or transfer to somewhere else... cheaper or better. (unless you went to an on-line school, then your are just skr****).

That being said, your degree will be handy one day... when you are old, fat, bald, cranky and in line at the unemployment office after you just got laid off from your job because the company outsourced to Mexico.
Because likely - the the old, fat, bald guy sitting next to you won't have that degree.
Patience grasshopper!
Good Luck!

You only get out of it what you put into it. how can you tell that it was not worth it. If you spent a fortune, maybe you should start using the degree and stop complaining/
