If GWB doesn't realize it, at least Condi Rice understands that Carter and Clinton recognized that you don't achieve peace with war.
Carter and Clinton were two of the greatest promoters of world peace in recent history. They deserve to be consulted. -RKO- 10/28/07

Not sure about Carter but the Bushes and Clintons have worked together since well before either family had a President. GHW Bush worked with Clintons when they were Gov in AR in a little town of MENA building a CIA airstrip for that other question you asked about, the old Ollie North thing. So you see, these two dynasties are not the Non-speaking enemies they would like you to believe they are. You need to read up on the Mena AR airstrip and the size of it for the town size, the mysterious deaths including 3 kids who stumbled upon something they should not have seen, etc. There is a much deeper currect here than the top of the water indicates. See, Enigma, I tend to know a little more than you have gave me credit for in the past. Im not all passion and no knowledge! In fact, I think this relationship started when GHW was still CIA Director so that would even predate Ollie also!

Did you read your own source or just knee jerk when you saw Condi's name and the left in the same sentence?
"She's trying to draw on the historical record and the experiences of others to see -- see what she can glean and how that may be applicable to the current day," McCormack said.
"She is a student of history and has a keen appreciation for how we can apply the lessons of history, what we can learn from those who have gone before us," he said.
Other sources of advice have been former U.S. negotiator Dennis Ross and ex-secretaries of state James Baker, Henry Kissinger and Madeleine Albright. Rice meets frequently for lunch with Albright, whose father taught Rice at Denver University.

Sometimes, as I have seen, to get people to commit to Bush's ideas and agenda, so as to defuse the possibility of prosecution!

I can understand talking with President Clinton. President Carter is another story. The only thing she could learn from him is how to knuckle under to every petty tyrant you encounter. If you need pointers on how to be a wuss, just talk with any of the Democrat Party Presidential candidates.

Its normal for a sitting president to seek advice from any number of different sources. Pres. Bush has been criticized for not getting enough input from Democrats. He may be trying to mend fences here. Don't worry. Bush doesn't listen to anyone and gets all of his orders from his VP.

They probably all are already aware that Hillary is gonna win. He just wants to make sure things are all smooth for her before she wins the election.

Clinton and Carter did not do a bang-up job with Middle East talks, either. I don't know why Rice would go to them. I'm guessing stupidity.

This has to do with Israel and that has very little direct impact on the way the war is operating. Apples and oranges. And it's looking for advice regarding 1 upcoming meeting she is having, not advice on how to conduct herself in all matters. I hope Bill doesn't grope her. That would be too insanely rich.
