just a couple of minutes ago i found lots of baby fish hiding out behind a rock behind my pleco's spot. they looked about maybe 1-3 days old.in my tank i have dalmation mollies, balloon mollies, zebra danios , and one plecostomus(dark brown and spotted like a leopard. spots are more vivid when frightened what species is this pleco?). i know these babies are dalmation mollies, but two of the babies look much darker, almost black, and something that looks like stripes or either spots and they dont swim well at the top. they swim more towards the bottom of the breeding tank. (i moved them so the other fish dont eat them) is this possibly a baby pleco? or jsut an unhealthy molly? they are the same size as the other baby fish.
i need help ! can someone give me a picture of a baby pleco thats less than a week old ?

If you only have one Pleco, it is certainly not a baby Pleco you found. Plecostomus are egg layers, and require both a male and a female to produce fry. You likely have either weak Mollies or a few Mollies exhibiting a lesser (recessive) gene carried by both parents. If they continue to swim abnormally, they are probably deformed, if not, grow them out and see what you've got!

plecostmus aren't known for breeding in a home aquarium because to lay eggs they need to dig so its probably not a pleco baby
