I had a problem with my Dell Latitude 510 and my HD was completely erased. I don't have a disk to restore the system so I can't even load Linux for example.....

If you really want to load Linux, you don't need the Dell restore CD. You can download Ubuntu (for example) onto a CD (on another computer) and boot that CD on your Dell.
