Most fish don't have eyelids (sharks have eyelids to protect their eyes from thrashing prey), and fish don't sleep. Fish take periodic rests to conserve energy, but they are constantly alert in this rest. They have to keep water constantly running over their gills to breath, so they can rest in place by flicking their fins to balance themselves as they rest.

Nope. fishes dont close their eyes at all

No but they are unaware that their eyes is still open. You can tell that a fish is sleeping is that it is on its side and its fins are moving gently.

No because they don't have eyelids. They can't sleep because of this either, but they do rest.

fish don't have eye lids, so no, they cannot close their eyes when they sleep.:-)
