Hitler was the man with a dream; FDR was the dream smasher.

Well, for a similarity they were both elected. Yes, Hitler ended up a Dictator, but he was elected.

They both implemented massive economic reforms in their country to try to battle the depression.

They both died before the war ended.

The differences are mostly philosophical, Hitler was a monster, FDR had a more humanitarian attitude.

Similarities: both leaders of countries in WWII, both charismatic and popular (for Hitler, if you're a nazi, for FDR, if you're anyone else)
Differences: FDR = democratically elected, Hitler = dictator
Pretty much Hitler was a tyranical, greedy, racist, bloodthirsty monster, and FDR wasn't. (slight exaggeration... sorry)
Hitler committed suicide, FDR died of illness
