how do they clean it up? it flies off into the sky and will float untill it pops or untill it deflates(which takes hours, many will probaly leave Denver.

The Rangers have done similar on Opening Day, and make it a point to mention that the balloons are natural rubber, which decomposes quite nicely.
I assume the Rockies did the same.
