Please provide ANY proof for either postulation.
I am a Christian, one of Jehovah's Witnesses, who by the way Has NO children. America is currently involved in a War. As far as I can tell America doesn't seem especially over crowded.
As for the more and more babies part. I don't know any religion that promotes that, asside from the original Biblical command to be fruitful and become many. However no where does the Bible encourage having children to a point where you will be causing hardships.
What does this have to do with politics anyway??

I don't know if there's a problem with an overpopulation rather than a shortage of resources. We as people need to spread our race out rather than stay in condensed areas. Certain religions probably promote it because it was written so long ago when our population was scarce and we need to keep popping out babies. I know in the colonies in America the average age was around 23 so in order for our race to continue we needed to keep reproducing. Today, i'm not so sure, but hey, that's why we have birthcontrol.

Which religion are you siteing that wants more babies? Whichever faith it is only wants to perpetuate its membership, so isn't it logical they would want to encourage a growth in membership ? Most children continue with the religion of their parents. Most religions feel that they are not the cause of overpopulation.

Just shows how we rush in to give our opinions rather than do some research and think before we express. The person who posted this question wanted us to find yet another pointless way to argue a pointless notion.

My religion doesn't promote having as many babies as you can. It does however promote owing up to your responsibilities and not murdering your baby.

What religion is that? Catholics don't promote more and more babies - we promote abstinence outside marriage, and natural birth control inside marriage. and our priests and nuns aren't even allowed to marry.

What religion would you mean? I don't know of one that does. I think most try to teach abstinence and safe sex. It's up to everyone that is married to decide how many children they can afford to have.
