get LCD (3x²)

combine...

(4x - 9)/3x² = 1/5

cross multiply...

5(4x - 9) = 3x²

20 x - 45 = 3x²

3x² - 20x + 45 = 0

use quadratic formula...

{-(-20) +- √[(-20² - 4(3)(45)]}/2(3)

20 +- √400 - 540 / 6

note that the ones inside the sqrt is imaginary (because of the negative answer), so the answer to your question is imaginary...

= (4x - 9)/3x^2=1/5 Get rid of fractions

20x - 45 = 3x^2 Put into ax^2 + bx + c = 0 format

3x^2 - 20x + 45 = 0 Factor

But it isn't factorable, so you use the quadratic formula.

X1= 3.3333 plus 1.972 i

X2= 3.3333 minus 1.972 i

Hope that helped!
