C is 92.3% and Hydrogen is 7.7%, how do you calculate its simplest formula which is just CH from that?

92.3%/12 = 7.7

7.7%/1 = 7.7

7.7/7.7 = 1 so yes indeed, the empirical formula is CH

But the formula weight of CH is 13. It may be that the molecular weight is 26, in which case the molecular formuila is C2H2, acetylene. Or the molecular weight may be 78, the molecular formula C6H6, benzene.
