neither the backup lights or the brakes lights work. I'm thinking its a fuse, but can not tell from the owners manual what fuse it is. Any help? Or could it be anything else? Thanks!

It's either the fuse, the wiring is messed up, or all the bulbs went on strike! I'd go to O'Riley's or AutoZone or somewhere like that and ask them about it. They will more than likely help you solve the problem.

Perhaps the lights, fuses, switch related to break pedal were broken . Check 'em out.

Rear light housings ground wire or connection is bad and will not let the circuit complete back to the Neg. side of the battery through the body/frame.

Either you have bad grounds to all of your lights or you are working with a bad neutral safety switch. That would be my guess.
