I kinda feel departed from home. I dont know. but why does this feeling come into me? is it bad? or is it just normal? do u also feel that way?

it is so normal and healthy. memories connect us back to our foundation. i grew up in the wide open spaces of the country and now live in the fast pace of the city... when i drive back "home" to visit my parents, it is literally like going to another world. a world that is so familiar and comfortable yet one that is so different than the one i have made for myself as an adult. every time i go visit my folks tho (esp on the drives to and from) i remember.. my roots, i remember how life in the country makes us appreciate nature more, stops us from getting so caught up in the hustle and bustle of things. sometimes when i am feeling overwhelmed in the city, i go just for those "memories" enjoy yours, it is a blessing! :)

Memories are places for us to retreat to when we want to remember some good times. I find myself doing this when I feel stressed out. I do it to help me relax. I have so many great memories from my youth and my adult life. Sometimes it's nice to feel distanced from home and the "real" world.
