I will define it this way:
The girl/spouse should exactly be the height for her man/husband to kiss her in her front head without the need for her to stand up on her toes.
Also,
when the girl/spouse has to stand up on her toes to kiss her man/husband on the mouth.
Now, where is the love...?

My husband is shorter than me, I am 5'9" tall he is about 5'7" tall he claims he is 5' 8" though but he's not. I don't think it would have made any difference though if he had been standing up.

Taller than me (is that an original response or what) I am 5'7.. I'd like my man to be atleast 3 to 4 inches taller, more would be good.

I don't really think there is an "ideal," because if you fall in love with a taller or shorter person, no matter what, that is your "ideal" then isn't it? So for me, it's 6'5" because that's how tall my husband is. I'm 5'3". It's lots of fun reaching up to kiss him! But I love him so much! (laughing) ღ♥ღ♥ღ

My husband is somewhere around 6'5" or maybe higher. Love it. I am a very tall 5"

I'm 5'4" tall but never think of myself as short. I feel comfortable with men that are at least 5'9".

I am 5'8" and prefer men that are 5'11' to 6'4." It is really the man himself that counts though, and not his heighth. I had a boyfriend 5'5" that I really liked.
