Anyone livivng in Georgia/Alabama?

Question

Since we've been in such a drought this summer and fall, do you think that the rain is going to come in the winter and cause ice storms? Do you think it is going to be really cold this winter?

I live in Auburn. But I just moved here so I haven't experienced a winter yet. But "really cold" is a matter of opinion. I hear that Alabama has pretty mild winters, especially compared to Virginia winters.

I am not a meteorologist, but I am not aware of any connection between dry summers and cold winters.
