Yes, I have some diamond jewelry.
Diamonds are inanimate objects. As such, they are not capable of being friends. Having pointed out the obvious...let's examine the diamond market.
There are blood diamonds...very bad
De Beers diamonds...very expensive
Russian diamonds...very cheap
Canadian diamonds...cheaper still
and finally synthetic diamonds...so good that you have to see their service mark under a microscope to make sure they are synthetic.
So the original MM premise that diamonds are a girl's best friend is no longer viable. Their value, which has been over-inflated by a monopolistic company (De Beers), is rapidly coming down.

Got a few.. but look they cant keep you warm in bed or make love to you at night.. Diamonds are a dime a doz..but its a feel of someone next to you that throw out the diamonds in left field.

well yes i do but i rally don't love diamonds but i think once you get married they become your best friend cause all the people i know which got married and didn't care for diamonds before LOVE em now,! oh and btw love that song

Sad if they are.
People are nicer.
Diamonds are hard and colourless.
If you saw the human suffering to mine them and the exploitation of the Africans who work in the mines, you wouldn't want to own any.
They also do not seem to make anyone all that happy.
Posh Beckham, Lady Diana, Liz Taylor, and all the countless others.
Happier to just have one gold ring.
