Dustin Pedroia.
.357, .438 OBP, .643 SLG, 1 HR, 1 2B, 4RBI, 2 Runs
Pedroia became only the second player to lead off the Series with a home run, when he took Jeff Francis out over the monster, setting the tone in game one. After that the Red Sox never looked back, pounding out 17 hits and set records for both runs scored and margin of victory in the World Series opener. Last night it was Jacoby Ellsbury and Pedroia sparked the Red Sox from the top of the order. Pedroia had three hits, including a bunt single that helped spark a six-run third against Josh Fogg. In the eigth, Pedroia had a very key two-run double to right that made it 9-5, and put the game out of reach from the Rockies.
That's why I think it should be Pedroia, but Ellsbury has been great, too. Give it to the whole team!

While Jacoby had a great game last night. It highly rest's on what happens tonight. I think its between Jacoby, Pedroia, or Pap. Pedroia has been producing all series, and Pap has come in and pitched lights out ball. Depending on who has a big game tonight, I think that decides it.

No doubt, Jacoby Ellsbury should have been the MVP! He can do anything! And he is definitely the player "you can't ignore!"
All that, and he's incredibly hot too!!

I agree with you and say Ellsbury. No matter where he is in the line-up he produces. I pick Pedroia a close second.

Dustin Pedroia. He has set the table and started the world series off with a home run.
