does anyone know how i can protect myself from getting idea knock off from sample maker?

i need to get sample made for my design,but incase i change my mind i want to make sure they wont steal my idea.what can i do to insure that.

Write the idea down and put in an envelope and mail it yourself. When it comes, don't open the envelope. Then you can give the idea to the sample maker. If they try to steal your idea, you will have the envelope with the postmarked date to prove it was your idea first.

Have then sign a confidentiality and/or non-disclosure agreement.
