I can't help it. I have my lady dracula costume, which I look really hot in by the way. I enjoy seeing all the kids in costume. Are you planning anything special? Any favorite spooky kind of beverages? Like bloody looking drinks or orange drinks with a kick?

Meg, you have so much fun to look forward to. Please be careful, many towns throw party's for children, rather than going door to door. I think these party's for the children are the greatest

Love it, but we're getting less and less kids anymore. Used to decorate the whole yard and front of the house...and play the spooky music...but now most of the kids are going down to the church for "trunk or treat" or doing other organized things. I'm a die-hard though...I still decorate, just not as much...and already have all the goodies bagged and ready and sitting by the front door....just in case! As long as we at least get the really little kids, I'll be happy.

I have enjoyed Halloween for as long as I can remember. When I was growing up, we had to sing a song or do a dance to get a treat. When I was married, we had a lot of fun setting up speakers and talking to the kids through a pumpkin. It was so adorable seeing kids talking earnestly to the pumpkin.
Then, when my kids got married, I was the one who was designated to give out the candy while the kids were taken out for trick or treat. I loved dressing up in different outfits and seeing the kid's reactions. I was truly crushed when I was told no one is doing anything this year. Everybody is too old. Well-I'm not, but it's no fun without kids.

I have enjoyed Halloween since I was a Trick or Treater myself. I use to enjoy decorating and helping my kids get their costumes ready. Every once in a while one of the grands needs help with a costume.
We live in an apartment complex, so we never know how many will come. I assure you, I will be ready.

I love Halloween. I always have. We have only had 5 tricker treaters in 11 years but we have a party for the grandchildren. They all dress up and go to the people that they know. ( this is the only ones they go to).
We are planning a wiener roast for them. We are also planning on something that will scare them. Give them something to remember. ha. Not real scary but scary enough. The adults can't stop laughing just thinking about it. ha. It should be fun.
Be safe.

I have always enjoyed Hallowe'en , especially when the little ones come. They are excited and nervous at the same time. I think it's good so they can see and meet the people in the neighbourhood . We usually buy 200 items and in two hours most of them are gone. I save a lot of peanutbutter cups 'till the end and munch on them while waiting for the next wave of kids.

Where I work we are having all the town children come in with their costumes and they get a free cookie. Had over 100 last year. It was so much fun.

I will tell you what my mother
made me do when I was small and which I hated with a passion. I was her little "Shirley Temple". Dark ringlets and all, and I had to wear this cutesy pink dress and little black patent leather shoes. We would walk up to the door and I would sweetly say,"Trick or Treat", and my mother would make me go through the "routine" ON THE GOOD SHIP LOLLIPOP, ITS A SWEET TRIP TO A CANDY SHOP
bla bla bla...
Yes, I got a lotta candy but
after 5 doors I figured I shoulda got paid.
And THEN there was the time...........

I volunteer at a little community center and participate in their "Fall Festival" every year. It is really a Halloween Party, but we call it a Fall Festival, not my idea.
Anyway, we had it last night so as not to interfere with school and it was a blast. I went as a cat and was in charge of one of the games and also helped serve refreshments.

I'm not a huge fan of Halloween but I'm starting to enjoy it a little more now that I've started to have children. It's my daughter's first Halloween so it should be fun!
