don't put them on your lap. It's something to do with the waves. They are harmful even if you're not pregnant. For girls, they can cause you to never be able to get pregnant

It's perfectly fine. I'm almost 21 weeks now and use my laptop for a couple hours everyday since Day 1 of my pregnancy.

No, this fear was borne out of early concerns regarding pregnancy and the use of laptops when laptops were still a fairly new invention. Studies, however, showed no issues for pregnant women using laptops. These studies were performed when cathode ray tube laptops were still largely in use. In time since, however, we have moved away from these types of laptops to laptops with liquid crystal displays. Whereas cathode ray tubes proved little or no danger, these prove even less, they give off far fewer emissions than the cathode ray tube screens.

Lol, do u realize how many people have asked this question on here, this question also varies with are computers unsafe to use while pregnant. NO they are not. If they were harmful to babies then they would be harmful to you and therefor with todays safety things and stuff they would not be allowed on the market.

Ummm its not a "rumor"
Laptops are not only sending waves through the air, they get very warm and that is unhealthy for your baby.
If you need to use it, set it on a desk.
Just don't put it directly on your belly
(which for me is the most comfortable place to put it haha)
There are so many disorders right now, i.e. autism
which have no known source.
Yet the increase in electronics use and the industrialization of our universe coincide with rising rates of these situations...
It can't be great for you to have all that stuff passing through your belly... I've heard that too and I wish an expert would clear it up for us : )

No. They are not a problem. They do not give off electrical radiation or x-rays. The hot air from their little fans is not dangerously warm. They are not so heavy to pickup that you would strain your back. They will not squash your stomach and flatten your kid.
I don't see what she is worrying about. Did she say anything specific or just call it bad?

laptops are fine! I've used this one throughout my first pregnancy and during my current one. I have never had any medical professional say anything and can't imagine what would be the harm anyway. Don't worry about it, you'll be fine!

There's no research in to know either way. I just set my lap top on the table to be safe.
Good luck
