Dear Third: you always amuse me--Thanks! I must ask: the underlying reality of what? Reality? Plato and Socrates said essences (I assume you mean the essence of reality) are in the heavens and what we see as phenomena are "mirror images." Aristotle said essences were "in the things themselves." Ayn Rand said they are concepts of knowledge. I believe Rand.
Did I once again misinterpret your entire question?

The reality is we are not this body nor do we really have anything to do with our this material designation. The reality is we are all eternal servants of God also known as Krishna, Allah, Jehovah, Vishnu, etc. This world is not our real home it is temporary and full of misery. Only one froth of the souls come here. (the less intelligent ones) The rest are enjoying eternal, blissful loving relationships with our Maker, named above. We can serve God consciously and directly or we can serve His external, material, illusory, energy (Maya). Everyone must serve. That is the reality. I choose to serve Reality the Beautiful- Krishna. (The absolute Truth, which everything emanates from.

That which underlies reality is more reality, but when non-being supersedes or succeeds infinitely we are completely lost to truth, reality and the possibility of coherent thought, i.e. insane. What we have of substance is conjoined with super-stance, sub-natural with supernatural, concrete with abstract, matter with energy, consciousness with its body such that one is indifferent to the other yet moving within its confine.

The Will is positive, the Judgment is negative.

This is a question about direct experience, because words can only point at what is real....

And so, I point at the here and now. I point at what is, without the veil of mind, and emotion.
