I recently started taking the pill, I have been changed just last month to the pill called dianette. I was just wondering what its like and how dangerous it is compared to the others because my mum has heard it is the most dangerous causing clots than the other pills and that people who are on it should change to a different one! Can anyone throw some light on this situation for me!
Thank you's all very much!

Dianette is a bit different from most other brands of birth control pills because of another medication in it called Aldactone (generic: spironolactone). As for the incidence of blood clots being higher on Dianette compared to other brands I hadn't heard this before but it makes sense because of some sensations I felt on the U.S. version of it called Yasmin.

I would recommend checking with your doctor as well to see what they say.
