yea i just asked the same question.i understand that the coach wants 2 prove a point but this is not good sportsmanship. its been taught that since pee wee football that you dont run up the score. ive even seen my lil boys team pull players out of the game and play 9 on 11.there is a fine line between running up the score and makin enemies.

I agree with you. I think it's insulting that they keep adding on to the score and keeping their regulars in the game. The score is high enough, and they know they are going to win. I think they are stupid for doing this considering Indy plays them next week. I hope Indy beats them. It might just bring the Patriots back down to earth. Not to mention, I wouldn't be surprised if they were stealing play calls from other teams like they did the Jets.
They have the best team, but there's no need to show off. The NE Patriots clearly show they don't have class.

Having your back-up QB score a touchdown is hardly running up the score. Shouldn't the vaunted and tough Skins defense shut down the Pats? Where are the bashers who said New England has only faced weak teams. That's the only reason they win. Of course, it's the same fans who said Dallas will knock off the Pats (we know how that turned out). Face it, the defense should stop the Patriots, not the Patriots stop themselves.

Although I'm not a NE fan and not a fan of running it up, I hope they score another 7 to get back what they just gave up! They have a chip on their shoulder and something to prove;Damn how good are these guys?

No...73-0 wouldn't be enough. When you have em' by the balls, you don't let them go, you kick em' in the @ss.
This is a warm-up for next week's 55-3 massacre of the Colts.
Hmm...Patriots just put their backups in, I kind of disagree with this, but Bill knows best.

It is not running up the score. Washington's defense just can not stop the offense of the Pats.

did you say the same thing, a couple of years ago, when the Kansas City/Atlanta game was 54-0 ???
scoring more than the opponent is the point of the game.

No, the Colts reversed the curse and now the Patriots are supposed to lose from now on.
