I think I am barking up the wrong tree but I am giving this a shot. I am looking to make something like a patchwork blanket. I am almost ready to give up and crochet it then piece it together. (I am using diffrent colors and want to put 16 in it somehow) I want to then put it all together so its a patchwork alternating block blanket. Any Ideas? I have 4 diffrent size circle looms, and thought that I could get away with doing it in a circle pattern but have no idea how to start it. Hope I have not lost anyone yet..... Thanks.

I actually made 3 blanketts with the big circle loom, and they are gorgeous. Use thick yarn like homespun. Just instead of going all the way around to the otherside, stop at the peg, and turn it around. Keep going like that and you get a panel. Just sew them up. I used 3 skeins for each side, of Homespun yarn. Hope I helped!

In all honesty, crocheting is a lot easier than using those circle looms. Here is a link below with free patterns . Look for afghans or check another site . There are lots of patterns at the public library too in the hobby section. Good luck. I made a granny square blanket using all my leftover colours ,then did the last two rows of each square in black, then pieced it together. It was stunning.

In your search box type in 'knit pattern loom' or 'knit pattern knifty knitter' and you will get thousands of sites up. Just start going through them as many have free patterns. You could also try doing a search for 'loom knitting groups' and try joining up with a couple of them as they will often swap patterns. Good luck.
