you know when there's a song that comes out. the audience all start clapping to the beat..
who starts that? with the exception of the singer that's singing

Good for you.
It's a timing issue -- if you start too soon it is so bad. But it takes a person tuned in to things to even think about it.
I kind of learned this in church as a kid -- always the same few people would be the first to stand for a hymn.
Also important to be the second one to start the clapping (if the timing is right). After that everyone follows.

Sorry, your question doesn't make sense at all.
You mean you started clapping first as an artist? Almost all artists do that so the audience will see what a great performance they had and go out and buy their album, and come see them perform again or something.
