oh yeah, i love thinking about this stuff. i would love to go back to the 80s just cuz of the clothes and the music, but i would also love to live in the 50s. It just seemed so fun and simple. Ha but that would mean i would be like 70 years old now. good question!

I would want to go back to the Roaring Twenties in New York City just to see what it was like! That would be my vacation, but for real living I would honestly choose the late 40's or 50's for many of the reasons people stated here. I don't want to idealize that time as I am sure there were problems too but it seemed that people had a moment to breathe as information wasn't be shoved down our throats and the give me this now, give me that now attitude that everyone seems to have whether they like it or not wasn't prevalent.
People didn't throw away things or people as quickly as they seem to do nowadays.
There wasn't as much traffic on the roads and people didn't feel this huge pressure to seem like they are so much more.
I feel for my kids as they will never know the nice peaceful childhood that I had in the seventies before ipods, internet, video game systems and the massive glut of info coming at us everyday. I used to just enjoy doing one thing at a time, and now it seems that kids need to do three or more, they are watching a show, messaging their friends, listening to music, emailing, on their cellphones....
I wish they could all just shut everything off and go outside, walk down the street, knock on a friends door and just say hi.

You do not know how many times I've wished this! I think about this almost every day! The world is becoming terrible, and I can't help but think that it must've been better in past times. Like all the way back in ancient times, to the 1970's. Whenever would be cool...as long as I didn't have to deal with the terrors of today!

Ya bro, I certainly have! I would like to live in another country (in old times) where family, relationships, and traditions were very important to people.. A time when you did work, but you didn't have to worry about stupid little things..! I would probably choose Mexico, India, or America (The old times)..

in a way i so agree with Master Gabi, in a world better than this one or way way back would be so cool. I think its a terrible world we live in, i don't think i could have any kids cos i wouldn't like to bring kids into this world as it is today! I know things change usually for the better, but i don't think thats happening. Respect is being lost for starters!

I think living sometime in the mid 1800s would be cool.
But, they'd probably think I was a witch & burn me.
So, I'll go with the 60's-70's

the 50's people didn't seem to be as rude as they are now
and its also alot slower pace. stores weren't open on sunday
and parents didn't have to work 24/7. mothers were always at
home and made a nice home cooked meal. it was more of
a family oriented time.

Not necessarily other times, but I wish I could go into the past. There are a lot of things I would do differently.
