They're real and they're loaded. I used to work in Human Resources at a security company and they were required to be qualified to use a firearm and had to have a FOID card. A lot of armed guards are former cops, military, CIA, FBI, etc. Security Guards get a lot of flak, but sometimes the private sector pays a heck of a lot more. Some security positions I had to fill paid over $100,000 per year. I even had an application from Steven Seagulls personal body guard for one position. All of the US Air Force Bases are guarded by armed private security guards.

Of course not. Only water guns and scissors. Real guns are far too dangerous for anyone other than criminals to carry. That is why certification is required

i'm guessing your NOT in the UK , our security guards here dont carry guns .
