Estimates are anywhere between 3 and 15 years.

I think 15 years is far too high an estimate. Iran has many facilities and many people working on this.

My guess would be more like 5 years.
What do you think?

Best estimate 3 to 8 years to have the full capability for a nuclear weapon.

Iran is just as American in many ways as we are. In dress and schools and technology. The people there are not much different that us. That being said, why shouldn't they have power? Are we and only our "friends" allowed to have it?? Israel does? If I were Iran and Israel was the Americans friend, I wouldn't trust them with their Nukes.

So they should be allowed to do what they want. For the future energy. The UN inspectors have been there, the people the Pres of Iran will not let go in are OUR people. He has that right. Why doesn't Bush take the word of the UN?

I would like to know WHY WHY WHY won't BUSH talk to them????????

On another note, because the Pres of Iran was bold enough to have an international conference to understand the truths and facts about the Holocaust, he was blamed for saying it didn't exist. Do you know how many scholars went to that conference?? He never said it didn't exist. Why aren't people anywhere allowed to question certain facts about that time?? We are allowed to do research on other matters, but not that? Why?? I have been to chat rooms, international chat rooms where you are banned for even saying the word. Why??? (It upsets people) Why???

Well, do some research and you will find out why. Not that it didn't happen, no, but what actually happened was slightly different.

And if they don't want people to have nukes in that area, then Israel should be told they can't have them either.

Even Bush admitted the other day it won't be before 2015.

Of course, that assumes diplomatic and economic pressures fail. And it assumes the current regime, which is not popular with the majority of Iranian citizens, remains in poer.

In short--Bush wants to start a war over a capability that does not exist, may never exist, with a regime that may or may not be here in a decade anyway. Because they might at some point in the future beyond that want to attack the US.

Among mental health professionals this is known as "paranoia."

I keep hearing 5 also. But depending on when they restart the project again. How the Supreme Leader plays out the President AMDJ and his behaviour? My educated guess is internal battle. Bye Bye I'nadinnajacket and 5 yrs. Under UN and regulations specific to a new global/nuclear initiative toward Peace. And the use of energy recourses... But somehow you have to be rid of the Revolutionary Guard and if they get the boot expect them in Iraq ASAP.

More than 5 years. This is besides the point though. Our President Bush HAS to attack Iran despite the "facts". It is a last ditch effort to salvage His LEGACY, that is something we all should be willing to sacrifice EVERYTHING for or be traitors.
What we need to be doing is cherry picking the intel and spreading it out through FOX and the boards, radio, etc.. We need to ratchet up the islamoracism before the assault on Iran and Syria.

I don't know how long it will be, but if left undisturbed it is almost cetain they will have them eventually. It is also a certainty that they will threaten thier neighbors as well.
And, depending on the pace of thier misile technology, they are sure to be a direct threat to us in the US.

I hope and pray that they never have them. My guess is that their developmental plans will come to a very abrupt halt in the not too distant future, which will set their time table back about 50 years.

They will never have them.

The U.S and Israel wont allow it.

And for all their bluster and resistance, neither dose Russia or France want them to have them either.

You can't trust a 2 year old with a hand gun.

Intellectually the Iranian government is run by 2 year olds.

Never.
Countries like to possess nuclear weapons to prove they matter in the world.
But the slightest hint of usage would cause RETALIATION.

I wonder how long it will be before America has nuclear weapons?, oh wait.... we already do, yet we complain about others making them.
Sounds to me like a double standard.
