A lot would depend on what you want to do. MBA, Accounting, Computer Applications (Excel, Word, etc), Marketing, Sales, Management, Communications, Foreign Languages, Public Relations, etc.
I'm signed up to get emails for MLB jobs and they have the qualifications on the ads. You're best bet is to intern (no pay, but experience), or become a sales rep to get your foot in the door and work your way up.

Broadcast journalism. Maybe you could try out for a team as a walk-on. A lot of sports casters used to play something.
Of course, sports medicine is another option.
To be a front office employee, business, business management, advertising, and secretarial skills are are options.

Go to a college where you know scouts go to recruit and work for that college's baseball teams doing anything and everything you can for them. Or get an internship with a team. My hubby would love to do stats for the majors so if you figure out how to get your foot it let me know. He's great at stats.

Some colleges do have courses in sports management. Ohio University and Syracuse come to mind. Might be worth a letter or a visit to a Web site.
Hard to beat a general education, though. Math, English, social sciences, marketing -- they all come into play. It depends what you want to do.
