so i have this kinda old singer sewing machine and i bought new needles for it, well i never used it and everytime i try to sew theres this big blob of thread and the needle just snaps!
whats wrong with it?

It probably needs to go to the shop and be cleaned and adjusted, first! This will cost you about $50. Well worth it tho.

Next needle needs to go in just exactly correctly or it will do that blob thing and break the needle.

3rd, do you have the bobbin in correctly? Is the bobbin case in correctly?

If you don't have needle and bobbin case in properly you will get the blob thing and break the needle all the time.

4th, Are you sure it is threaded correctly?

go get it cleaned, oiled, and adjusted and pay attention to how the needle is in the needle bar, how the bobbin case is in there, and how the bobbin goes into the case.

Here's a link for you. Scroll down until you find your make of machine and check that you are threading it properly and then look under troubleshooting. You must keep your machine free from lint, use the correct needles for your machine and it should be oiled, if it is an old machine. If you don't have a manual , check the other link below.
