Each parent contributes the same number of genes to the baby. What determines the baby's appearance are the amounts of dominant and recessive traits. That's a roll of the dice each time, but typically dominant characterists appear more - things like dark hair and dark eyes.

But not always. You might have a fair child, or a baby with dark hair and blue eyes.

Congrats to you and your boyfriend on becoming parents. Have you considered marrying so that your baby might have a stable and committed home to be born into? Couples living together statistically have more problems with poverty, abuse and crime than couples who marry.

There is no way to predict. Yes, darker features are usually more dominant, but how those traits are expressed is highly variable. You'll just have to wait it out like any other parent and you'll see the results once baby is in your arms.

Just to let you know, genes are ALWAYS devided 50/50.
So there is no way your kid is getting more of you than your partner. Some features might dominate but even the resessive genes will have their influence one way or the other.

Your baby gets the same amount of information from both of you. No matter what your baby looks like it is 50% your DNA and 50% his DNA. As far as features, yours are more dominant and as such are more likely to express themselves over his fair features.
